Hu xiao zhen pointed my forefinger at me, uncovered in that half glove that covered her very thin hand, right in front of the eye: no blacks here! he shouted. You know them better than those who are hungry and need to eat !!
The owner of the Asia market of Porta Palazzo in Turin had now become my most important point of reference in that area that had been transformed so much over the years.
I was looking for a cook, black, to be taken for our "political section - restaurant", which was now being transformed into what was born in a neighborhood that since 1992 was now also transformed: San Salvario.
This whole story began one evening after midnight at Gui lin, Chinese restaurant in Borgo S. Paolo, when Hu Scia ily (who in the future was nicknamed "the Sardinian")
the prestigious nephew of Hu Neng Sek, the founder of the Turin community, decided to accompany me and Jon (highly reliable operating secretary of the time) to visit the Chinese leather workshops that now served Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta. For Jon it was a trauma experience climb those dark stairs of that dilapidated building in Via Lassale 3, with her that guided us safely, among heaps of products piled up the stairs. What we expected: pyramids of scraps of cloth and leather, with dozens of half-hidden Chinese among these heaps that between the deafening noise of old cutting machines and sewing and a television that broadcast Chinese programs almost did not even deign to look, if not then shoot like lightning at the call of our escort.
I am now laughing to think of these facts, as the urban perversions have now increased dramatically.
It was in 1992 when in front of the vice mayor Franco Pizzetti I with 7 other people we presented the first commission on foreigners in Turin, It was a memorable evening, especially for the figure of the "crazy" I had done reporting data, statistics and forecasts for future years of all the transformation that would take place.
Just as I had been taught in Asia many years ago that there is no emptiness in the universe and that all spaces tend to fill, I had foreseen and communicated in assembly, the assault of the North Africans, especially for religious reasons, and of the Chinese, who would settle in the urban undergrowth corroding our entire economic system.
While I'm writing these lines we are now in 1999 (I'm only reporting the data of the commission at the time) wearing a jacket made by the Chinese with the fabric they use to make the jackets "Amiat" then municipal paid 5000 pounds!
People ignore everything, moreover they behave exactly like when the oxen are fleeing, so you have to close the stable!
If I had to consider the area of P.Palazzo or other urban areas in Italy of similar scope, I could identify them for one of those "star wars" planets where all the galaxy's convicts are concentrated.
The considerations that started from that commission have brought to light the national "religious provincialism", since that force was totally neglected, which if not seen would have caused the whole population to collapse on itself.
